BTS Software Solutions today announced the acquisition of Augury, LLC, a software engineering and programmable hardware firm specializing in full-stack mission applications, FPGA development, and advanced engineering solutions for government customers.
The acquisition strengthens BTS’s ability to deliver comprehensive technology solutions spanning software engineering, cybersecurity, intelligence operations, cloud, AI, and advanced hardware integration. Together, the combined organization offers customers an even broader range of technical expertise to solve increasingly complex mission challenges across the Department of War, Intelligence Community, and federal government.
Augury brings deep experience in full-stack mission applications, FPGA engineering, and system architecture. These capabilities complement BTS’s existing strengths in cyber, intelligence operations, data science, cloud services, and mission software development, creating a more complete engineering organization capable of supporting customers from system architecture through operational deployment.
“This is an exciting milestone for BTS,” said David Tohn, Chief Executive Officer of BTS. “Augury brings exceptional technical talent and engineering depth that naturally complements our existing capabilities. Together, we’re expanding what we can deliver for our customers while creating new opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and growth across the company.”
“We built Augury around solving difficult engineering problems with talented people who really cared about their work,” said Hal Black, Chief Executive Officer of Augury. “Joining BTS allows us to bring those capabilities to an even broader customer base while becoming part of an organization that shares our commitment to technical excellence, integrity, and delivering meaningful results.”
The acquisition reflects BTS’s continued investment in building a premier engineering organization capable of addressing the evolving needs of national security and federal missions. By combining expertise across software, full-stack mission applications, cybersecurity, and mission engineering, BTS is better positioned to help customers accelerate development, reduce technical risk, and deliver mission-ready solutions.
“Our customers continue to face increasingly complex technical challenges,” said Dan Cummings, Chief Operating Officer of BTS. “Bringing Augury into the BTS family expands our engineering capabilities while reinforcing our commitment to delivering exceptional technical solutions and outstanding customer agility. It’s a strong strategic fit for both organizations.”
For Augury, the acquisition represents an opportunity to broaden its impact while maintaining the engineering excellence that has defined the company since its founding.
Together, BTS and Augury are positioned to deliver increasingly sophisticated engineering solutions that help customers meet today’s mission requirements while preparing for tomorrow’s challenges.
